Privacy Policy

Transparency

In addition to links to Spotify, we also offer our own designs via an external merchandise shop (Furry Inside); for the sake of transparency, we therefore wish to point out that parts of this website (specifically the links to the shop) have a commercial nature.

Privacy Policy:

This is a German website:

We strive to handle your data to the best of our knowledge and belief in accordance with the requirements of the German GDPR (DSGVO). The site utilizes cookies that are, unfortunately, strictly necessary for required technical encryption. Furthermore, depending on the extent of usage, personal data such as names and email addresses may be collected and stored until the user withdraws their consent.

What we do with the collected data: Nothing—it is neither analyzed nor evaluated, nor is it passed on to third parties. Nevertheless, we ask that you be sparing with the data you enter.

Forums and comment functions:

As we lack the time to manage the data protection requirements associated with forums and similar features, we have simply disabled these functions. We do not want to store your data on the site in the first place. If commenting is still possible anywhere, it is an oversight.

External links and additional offerings on the website

The merchandise shop (Spreadshirt):

Our website contains links to our external shop, “Furry Inside.” These links serve merely as entry points and are embedded as static links or images. No scripts are loaded from our site, and no user data is transmitted to the shop operator, unless you actively click on the links. When you click on a design or the shop link, you leave our website and a new window opens, operated by sprd.net AG (Spreadshirt). From that point on, data processing is carried out exclusively by Spreadshirt, and the shop provider’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy apply. We have no control over data processing there. You can find the Terms and Conditions directly here:

Embedded content from Spotify:

We occasionally embed audio players or follow buttons from the music streaming service Spotify (Spotify AB, Regeringsgatan 19, 111 53 Stockholm, Sweden) on our website to allow you to listen to music by Fian the Bard directly. When you visit a subpage (such as the “Media” section) containing such a Spotify element, your browser establishes a direct connection to Spotify’s servers. During this process, your IP address is transmitted to Spotify. If you are logged into your Spotify account at the time, Spotify may associate this page visit with your user account. The use of Spotify is based on our legitimate interest in presenting our musical content in an appealing and easily accessible manner (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Further information regarding the handling of user data can be found in Spotify’s official privacy policy at:

Social Media Channels (TikTok):

We embed content or video feeds from the social media platform TikTok (TikTok Technology Limited, 10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, D02 T380, Ireland) at various points on our website (e.g., on the homepage) to allow you to directly experience Fian the Bard’s latest creative projects. As soon as you visit a page containing such a TikTok element, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to TikTok’s servers. During this process, your IP address and technical information regarding your browser are transmitted to TikTok, and cookies may be set. If you are simultaneously logged into your own TikTok account, TikTok can directly associate your visit to our website with your profile there. We use this embedding feature to present our audiovisual content in a dynamic and easily accessible manner (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). You can find further information on how TikTok handles your data in TikTok’s official privacy policy at:

Contact & Conflict Resolution

If you have any questions, take issue with anything here, or believe we are violating applicable law: talking helps… Simply send an email to info[at]schattenmaerchen.de, and we can discuss everything. We ask that you contact us directly before taking any legal action so that we can resolve any disagreements quickly and without red tape.

In principle, our stance is as follows:

  • Formal notices demanding payment sent without prior contact will be rejected as “baseless” regardless.
  • We will not sign any “cease-and-desist declarations” without legal clarification.
  • My brother is a lawyer…  🙂
