The Tavern’s Tunes of Cooking

Recipes of Ritual Peace

Collected by Fian the Bard.

Here, at the hearth of the Dark Tavern, the relentless law of claw and fang is suspended.

Remember the first rule of the kitchen—it is absolute:

That which has the right to sit at the table must never end up in the cauldron.

When fox, badger, hare, and bard gather to escape the icy wind outside, the peace of this sanctuary is sealed with a bowl of warm broth—not with the bite of a claw.

These fifteen dishes are entirely vegetarian or vegan, celebrating the wild treasures of the forest floor—mushrooms, roots, berries, and herbs—seasoned with a generous helping of dry, slightly dark humor, true to the spirit of the Misty Forest.

“May the soup be hearty, the fire bright, and the knives rest for the night.”

Dear travellers on the road and yes, you, in front of these blinking boxes with the light in it:

Yes, these cooking receipts are vegetarian or vegan, … so lean back and simply enjoy

Your worthy bard

Fian
